Ingredients

  • 700 g chicken wing nibbles also sold as split chicken wings or party wings
  • 1 tsp hot paprika powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp cajun powder
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Season the Chicken - Place the chicken wing nibbles into a large bowl. Add the hot paprika, garlic powder, white pepper, turmeric, cajun powder, salt to taste, and the freshly squeezed lime juice. Mix thoroughly using your hands until every single piece is evenly coated in the spices.
  • Add the Oil Gently - Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the seasoned chicken. Give it a very gentle toss just to coat the pieces. Be careful not to overdo it—we want to lightly coat the chicken in oil without rubbing the beautiful seasoning off the meat.
  • Arrange in a Single Layer - Line your air fryer basket or crisp plate with a sheet of baking paper. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces side-by-side. Make sure not to crowd the tray or stack them in layers; every piece needs direct exposure to the heat to cook evenly and get that perfect crust.
  • Bake and Flip - Select the Bake function on your machine (like a Ninja Foodi) and set it to 180°C for 25 minutes. At the 12-minute mark, open the lid, use tongs to flip the chicken pieces over, and let them finish cooking for the remaining time.(Note: If your air fryer only has a standard Air Fry mode, drop the temperature to 175°C so the skin doesn't crisp up too quickly before the inside is cooked through.)
  • Rest and Serve - Remove the chicken from the heat immediately when the timer goes off. Let it rest for about 2 minutes before serving to allow the juices to settle back into the meat, ensuring every bite is incredibly tender.
