Easy Baked Chicken Wing Nibbles

Baked chicken wing nibbles

These baked chicken wing nibbles are effortless to make, deeply caramelised on the outside, and incredibly juicy on the inside. Paired with a simple garlic oil pasta, they make the ultimate low-effort, high-reward weeknight dinner.

Chicken Nibbles vs. Chicken Wings: What’s the Difference

Don’t let the name trip you up. Chicken wing nibbles are just standard chicken wings that have been pre-split into drumettes and flats, with the tips discarded. They are ready to bake straight out of the packet, making them perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Why Chicken Wing Nibbles are Perfect for Baking

To me, chicken wing nibbles are practically engineered for the oven because they have the ultimate balance of meat and fat. I love how the thin skin renders down into a gorgeous, caramelised crust, while the smaller bones allow the heat to penetrate quickly. It’s my favorite way to guarantee the meat stays incredibly juicy while locking in every bit of that delicious marinade.

Seasoning for Baked Chicken Wing Nibbles

Also we gonna need salt to taste, lime and olive oil for seasoning.

How to Make Baked Chicken Wing Nibbles

Season the chicken: Place your chicken wing nibbles into a large bowl. Add all of your seasoning powders, the salt, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Toss and mix everything thoroughly using your hands so every single piece is well coated.

Add the oil gently: Drizzle the olive oil over the seasoned chicken. Give it a very gentle toss just to coat the pieces. Be careful not to overdo it here—we want to lightly coat the chicken in oil without rubbing all that beautiful seasoning right back off the meat!

Arrange on the tray: Line your baking tray with a sheet of baking paper and arrange the marinated chicken pieces next to each other. Make sure not to crowd the tray or pile them in layers! It’s incredibly important that every single piece has its own space and is directly exposed to the heat. This is the secret to getting that perfect, even cook and a beautifully crisp skin all over

Baking method: I use the bake function on my Ninja Foodi for baked chicken wing nibbles, which is the absolute secret to keeping them incredibly juicy while getting that gorgeous caramelised skin.

Set your machine to Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes. At the 12-minute mark, open the lid, flip the pieces over, and let them finish cooking.

If you don’t have a Ninja Foodi: Just use the “Bake” setting on your standard air fryer or multi-cooker at the same temperature. If your air fryer only has a standard “Air Fry” mode, you can still make these—just drop the temperature slightly to 175°C so they don’t crisp up too fast before the inside is perfectly cooked through.

Rest and serve: Remove the basket or tray immediately when the timer goes off. Let the chicken rest for about 2 minutes before serving to let the juices settle.
