Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour.
Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.

Since the strip is long enough to make two pies, keep the filling in the middle so it can be cut and sealed easily. Lightly brush the edges with water, then place another strip of dough on top. Press around the edges to seal, cut in half to form two pies, and use a fork to crimp the edges neatly.
Heat vegetable oil for 140 C and fry the pies until golden brown both sides
